With Sal and Smith I've gotten spoiled with getting through negotiations having taken minimal-to-no damage. And for negotiations I aimed for Diplomacy and that went quite well, actually. In combat I went for Burn and that was alright, but never as powerful as I would've liked. I tried another Prestige 0 Brawl with him yesterday and failed against the boss on Day 4 (Nadeen? The Spree leader). And for both I've gone for Hostility for negotiations.īut I'm still having trouble with Rook. For Smith I usually go with Trauma builds. Thus far I've primarily gone for fairly straightforward builds.įor Sal I like Combo builds and I actually managed to get the Achievement for 100 damage in one blow thanks to a card that does a multiple of your combo in damage. I've now finished a Prestige 1 run for both Sal and Smith and I feel that I've got them pretty solidly locked down. I've gone with both Combo and Bleed builds, but I haven't tried Improvisation yet as it once again feels pretty risky. Sal's combat decks feel pretty straightforward. I'm guessing that they can work well with Trauma (to get double damage) or with Power and Adrenaline. I also don't quite know how to get the most out of Threshold cards for Smith and always avoid them. He feels like the most complicated of the three with his coin flipping and card preparation. The drunk frogman is definitely my favorite of the three characters and I feel that I really get his mechanics now.ĭespite winning my first story run with Rook I don't feel that I have a good grasp of his mechanics. I've completed Brawl runs for both Sal and Smith and I've even started a Prestige 1 Brawl run with Smith. Things are really starting to fall into place now. Whenever the graft that gives you one extra action but bars pets shows up I always pick it. I've never really got a lot of use out of pets other than have them absorb damage for me.
